OUR PURPOSE
Recognizing scholastic and professional excellence in the field of accounting with the provision of opportunities for the self-development and association among members and practicing business professionals: and encouragement of a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES

To provide opportunities, instill motivation, and expand knowledge encourage the self-development of our members.

To promote, through fraternal activities, the association and networking of Accounting and Professional Services (APS) students and professional accountants.

To promote a professional attitude among members and encourage participation of students and faculty in our professional and social activities.

To attain Superior Chapter Status during and after our petitioning process.

To submit quality graduate and undergraduate manuscript contest entries.

To continue successful fund raising activities to support chapter activities and for transportation to the National and Regional Meeting.

To provide voluntary income tax assistance to the community and provide other services to various school and community groups.

To provide exposure to innovative accounting topics and careers through the use of technical programs and seminars that are not covered in our academic curriculum.

To continue to inform area high school students of the opportunities available in the field of accounting, and to promote the collegiate study of accounting.

Eligibility
A student considered for membership must: be an accounting, finance, or CIS major; have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0; and currently be of at least sophomore standing.
